Hello Mrs. Natalia Cazacu

Question: Natalia, you have lived in Switzerland for almost one year! What are your impressions about this country?

Actually, I had lived in Switzerland for four years, but last year I returned to Geneva to finish my studies at the University of Geneva, Faculty of Letters, and, finally, to receive my diploma. I believe I have lived enough in Switzerland in order to know its political, economic and cultural situation. Therefore, I had enough time to come to love from the bottom of my heart this wonderful country, its mountains, lakes and splendid landscapes, as well as the Swiss kitchen with its delicious cheese and incomparable chocolate. I made a lot of friends and integrated so quickly in the social life, that after a few months I felt like home, as some say that “home is where the heart is”. When I left Switzerland, a piece of my soul remained on the bank of Leman Lake, near the famous Jet d’Eau (water-jet) in Geneva.

Question: Now that you have returned for good in Chisinau, how your re adaptation goes? Is it difficult?

Yes, it is quite difficult, on the one side, and not very difficult, on the other side, because I was born in Moldova and I know pretty well the current situation of the country and, besides, the most important thing for me is my family that offered me support in everything.

It is true that today Moldova passes through a very difficult period from the point of view of economy and politics, but this hospitable, hardworking and peace-loving nation is trying to face these difficulties and hopes for a better future.

Despite the difficult economic situation and natural calamities that took place the last few years, Moldova, however, suffered a lot of good changes and I had also noticed some similarities with Europe. There are more and more big commercial centers, high level restaurants with different kitchens, business centers with foreign investors We can feel a western influence, tendency.

Question: You speak French perfectly, does it help you in your professional activities?

It is a good level, “perfect” is too much! Yes, of course, French is useful to me in both personal and professional activities. In my opinion, knowing a foreign language is, with no doubt, an asset, an advantage in somebody’s professional carrier. Although in the last two-three years French have lost its positions in Moldova, comparing to English, I believe that in the future multilingualism will become a necessity and Moldova should orient towards this fact, because the most part of its population is bilingual (Romanian-Russian).

If speaking about me, I hope to use French, the language of diplomacy, daily, to be in a permanent contact with the French speaking world.

Question: What do you do and what is your activity?

Presently, I work in an advertising, design and software agency as a manager. Icon-Com is a young company, but with big ambitions. Out team is united, made of professionals with wide experience in the field. Our programmers develop web sites and programs designed for logistics departments, electronic jacquard looms in carpet factories, programs designed for load transportation, as well as deposit and personnel registration programs. A creative modern polygraphic design is proposed for developing different banners, booklets, packages, visiting cards, and a lot of other polygraphic and advertising items. We are always available to discuss and make true the desires of our clients in the best way possible.

Question: what are your plans or what do you want to develop?

Presently, we work mostly with local companies and we have also some cooperation projects with companied from neighboring countries like Romania and Ukraine, but our first objective is to cooperate intensely with all European countries and Russia. We are very optimistic, because we have a very good base: qualified employees, competent contact persons that know several languages like Romanian, Russian, English, Spanish, Italian and, of course, French! We also have a big desire to work, a lot of responsibility, imagination and many ideas for all people.
